On Friday, The first Host Park was Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. After some great morning ERT we were treated to a nice breakfast.
In addition to ACE at the park that day, it was "Physics, Science and Math Day." Some students did their analysis of the different rides. There were also other students there with their self-made roller coaster models displayed at the international showcase. These models were not viewable by the General Public. The ACE members who happened to be at the Showcase at the end of the hour (myself included) were allowed to participate in the artistic judging of the models.
After taking a short nap I returned to the park for the Group Photo at "The Mighty Canadian Minebuster" between the station and the lift hill. We were then treated to a wonderful dinner, an auction for pieces of wood from "The Mighty Canadian Minebuster", and an auction for the last ride of the night on "The Mighty Canadian Minebuster."
After dinner, we were escorted over to the new Stunt Show Arena, home of the new for 2006, "Hollywood Stunt Spectacular" which was not yet open at the time of the Convention. Following the Arena we went to the Paramount Theatre for some Q&A, prizes, presentations, and some professional roller coaster model displays. We stayed in the theatre until our night ERT.
Saturday Morning there was additional morning ERT, and a breakfast.
Saturday afternoon was spent traveling to "Martin's Fantasy Island." This is a wonderful Family Park with 2 great coasters and lots of great flats. We had out group photo by the "Silver Comet" next to the Train Station. We then got to enjoy a very nice dinner, presentations, Q&A, prizes, and a raffle for the last ride of the night on "Silver Comet." After the park closed we got to enjoy some ERT on both of their Coasters.
Sunday was spent at "Six Flags Darien Lake." For those who showed up for the breakfast we were plesantly suprised. The scheduled Continental Breakfast was replaced with a Full Breakfast Buffet. I definatly gained a few pounds this weekend. ;) A presentation and prizes were scheduled, but we didn't have time.
After breakfast we enjoyed some great ERT on all the coasters except the Brain Teaser. We got to enjoy seeing some of the new charactures in the park, including The Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman. We had a group Photo by the queue entrance tp Superman and enjoyed a great day at the park.
All in all, this was a wonderful weekend. All the parks did a great job.
